Hej, Iโ€™m diana

The most remarkable thing I have come to know over my years of photographing women is how their beauty goes far beyond their physical form.

Iโ€™ve always been surrounded by the feminine form as art.

I was born and raised in Denmark by my artistic Russian mother and my entrepreneurial Arabic father.

Our home was filled with art pieces of the feminine form and I would admire them every day.

My mom has always been a creative soul.

I grew up with my mom and I painting in the basement on weekends and on our holidays she would bring small canvasโ€™ and acrylic and we would sit on the balcony and paint the view.

We would explore museums and art galleries and I would watch her manage an art gallery in her later years.

My dad loved to be his own boss and had an obsession with electronics and would always be the first to try a new gadget and come up with new business ideas. He believed in himself so much and wasnโ€™t afraid of failing.

My brother and I would spend hours with my dadโ€™s cameras creating Jack Ass videos and funny stories.

As I got older I became obsessed with photography and would use my momโ€™s digital camera, which she always carried close by.

My childhood shaped my creative mind and no wonder I was obsessed from a very early age.
The obsession has only grown bigger and stronger since then and become a deep passion of mine.

I moved to NYC in 2015 to study Fashion and work in the creative industry.

New York was a playground for new artists, and this was where I first found my passion for photographing dancers and artists covered in art. For the next few years I would travel the world and capture everything from landscape to lifestyle photography.

Then I became a mother and moved to Australia.

After having my beautiful boys I felt such a deeper understanding, appreciation and love for the magic of a womanโ€™s body. I quickly realized there was no longer a need to cover women in art because - they are art. I saw what my mother had always known.

Women are an artform of their own.

The most remarkable thing I have come to know over my years of photographing women is how their beauty goes far beyond their physical form. Each season of a woman's life changes. And her body moves with her seasons too.

I have the privilege of seeing all of this through my lens.

Today I live on the Fleurieu coast overlooking the most beautiful beaches in the world, with my two beautiful boys.

This coastline is my office and my backdrop.

The ocean is my muse. I feel so connected to its nature and way of being, and I love the ways it wraps itself around my sessions. The sound of waves crashing as women bear themselves to my camera lens. The smell of the sea as I send my drone high above a woman laying on the shoreline. The peace it brings to soothe nerves and hearts.

Together we create a unique piece of art - for you first and foremost. My intention is that you will be able to look back at these images and our time together and feel a sense of love, connection and deep admiration for the woman you are and the way she was captured in this season of your life.

My hope is that we not only create something beautiful together but you also get to take a moment, smell the sea air, breath right down into your belly and feel beautiful, seen and relaxed.

I am based on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia. I spend 3 months a year in Europe.

(I am definitely willing to travel for art).

I canโ€™t wait to meet you.
